LG Electronics is a global big player, committed to expanding its operations with the solar market. In 2010, LG Solar successfully released its first MonoX®series to the market, which is now available in 32 countries. LG Solar PV cells and modules are manufactured in a fully automated manufacturing facility in Gumi, South Korea. Current production capacity is 2 GW with plans for 3.3 GW capacity within the next 2 years. LG has always built innovative, high quality products and LG modules uphold the same standards. LG Solar is the first corporation in the world to operate in-house solar testing facilities that are certified by the 4 major inspection and certification authorities.
